Black Hill (Kalo Dungar)
Known as the highest point in Kutch, Kalo Dungar — or the Black Hill — offers mesmerizing panoramic views of the Great Rann. On a clear day, you can even glimpse the Indo-Pak border from the hilltop.
The site is home to the Dattatreya Temple, which is said to be over 400 years old. According to legend, Lord Dattatreya once fed hungry jackals here, and to this day, food is still offered to the animals as part of the temple ritual
On the way to Kalo Dungar, visitors can also experience the mysterious “Magnetic Hill” phenomenon, where vehicles appear to move uphill on their own. The journey combines spirituality, mystery, and breathtaking scenery — making it a must-visit destination for explorers.
